The Mira Satchel

— Our philosophy

Abagisrarelyjustabag.Itisthelastthingyoureachforinthemorningandthefirstthingsetdownatnight.Rajbitaisbuiltaroundthatsmall,sacredritual.

Slow design

Every silhouette begins as a paper sketch and ends after a hundred small decisions you will never see.

Vegan leather

Premium PU with a hand that ages gracefully — soft to the touch, structured where it counts.

Made to last

Reinforced stitching, brass hardware, and a lifetime repairs promise on every Rajbita piece.

Quiet, not loud

No monograms. No logos shouting from the strap. The compliment lives in the details.

— The craft

Six quiet steps,
a hundred small ones.

Hand sketching a handbag silhouette

01

The sketch

Each season starts on paper. Silhouettes are drawn and re-drawn until the proportion feels inevitable.

Close-up of full grain leather hide

02

The leather

We source premium polyurethane leather with a soft, full-grain hand — kinder to animals, kinder to the planet, faithful to the look.

Leather hide with cutting patterns

03

The cut

Panels are cut by hand from full hides so the grain runs uninterrupted across the front of every bag.

Hands saddle-stitching brown leather

04

The stitch

Reinforced double saddle-stitching along stress points. Done slowly, by people who have done it for years.

Polished brass bag hardware

05

The hardware

Solid brass clasps and feet, hand-polished and aged for a warm, lived-in finish that won't tarnish in a season.

Hands burnishing the leather edge

06

The finish

Edges are sealed and burnished. Linings cut from soft cotton twill. Every bag is signed before it leaves the studio.

— Letters in

Carried,
then loved.

A handful of notes from the women who have folded a Rajbita into their everyday. We keep every one of them.

It is the only bag I have not put down since it arrived. The leather has already started to learn the shape of my hand.

Aanya

Mumbai · The Mira Tote

I bought one and gifted three. My mother held hers up to the window and said, finally, something quiet.

Léa

Paris · The Anaya Hobo

I have carried it through two airports, a wedding, and a Tuesday at the office. It has not asked for anything.

Mei

Singapore · The Noor Satchel

There is no logo. People still notice. I think that is the point.

Sofía

Mexico City · The Saira Clutch

— Behind the name

"Rajbita" is a quiet name from a place not many remember. It belonged to a woman who carried everything in one bag, and everything well.

We are a small studio
making slow things,
for women who notice.

Rajbita began in 2024 in a one-room studio in New Delhi with three people, four sewing machines, and a stubborn idea — that a bag should outlast the season it was bought for.

We don't drop new bags every week. We don't chase trends. We make modern silhouettes in vegan PU leather, finish them by hand, and put each one through a final inspection before it's allowed to leave us.

— Stay close

Letters, not noise.

A short note once a season — when a new bag arrives, when the studio opens its doors, when there's something worth saying. Nothing else.
